RevenueHits: just traffic from USA, Canada and Australia?
RevenueHits: Only traffic from the US, Canada and Australia produces an income

In an earlier publication, I talked about the RevenueHits advertising platform, showing the results obtained the first month I placed the ads for your circuit in this blog. A few months later, I raise the subject to continue the analysis that was initiated at the time.
As a preamble, it is useful to remember that the RevenueHitsis an ad circuit based on its performance, evaluated according to the so-called CPA, cost-per-action, where an advertisement generates revenue based on the action that the user performs on it (Click, email insertion, site registration , downloading files, etc.), depending on the type of advertisement. However, RevenueHits administration panel does not provide analysis tools or advanced information about the types of actions performed by users; The only data provided is just the number of impressions and the number of clicks, so the analysis will necessarily be based only on those measurements.
After experiencing a bit of all kinds of ads provided by the RevenueHits circuit (banners, interstitials, footer, sound box, pop-unders), I decided that what would offer me the right balance between being profitable and not being too intrusive to It was the Shadow type box. Starting in November 2015, I decided to delete all other types of ads and left a banner (shadow box type) on the blog and, more exactly, only on pages of a single article. These are the results obtained after 10432 page views,
RevenueHits Statistiche November 2015
In summary, as you can see from the image, the blog tagged:
Impressions: 6081
Click: 313
CTR: 5,147%
eCPM: $ 1,57
Revenue: $ 9,54
What I now want to focus on is traffic analysis that, in terms of country of geographic origin, has actually produced a profit.
Below you can find the table of 10 countries that contributed most to the profit made during the observation period (November 2015):
RevenueHits November 2015 Top10 GEOS
As you can see, the only visiting countries that produce a significant income are USA, Canada and Australia, with the following eCPM values:
US: $ 5.46
Canada: $ 3.10
Australia: $ 2.11
I exclude Malaysia from the list, even if it appears in the picture with an eCPM of $ 32.53 because it is only the result of a single significant action (probably a download) made by a user (and observed in a daily report) which is 65 cents (produced from the country during the month). This, combined with the insignificant number of impressions and clicks monthly, leads me to exclude him from the argument.
RevenueHits Novembre 2015 Cost per action
The data in the previous table will have even greater significance if you cross-check with the information extracted from Google Analytics about the origin of the visitors during the same observation period. The following table summarizes the number of sessions, and their percentage in total, of several countries during the month of November:
1) USA: 2,068 (24,48%)
2) Italy: 1,104 (13,07%)
3) India : 902 (10.68%)
4) Germany: 381 (4.51%)
. . .
8) Canada: 191 (2.26%)
. . .
15) Australia: 101 (1.20%)
Italy's traffic at the moment has a completely negligible value as shown by the 28 cents accumulated by 1,081 impressions and 27 clicks for an eCPM of only US $ 0.26. The CTR, stuck at 2.47%, is among the lowest in absolute terms and this data can probably be attributed to the low "quality" of visible ads coming from an Italian IP address (remember that RevenueHits ads are Geo Targeted, that is, visitors from Different countries see different ads, more relevant to their geographical area), the same fact that I complained at the end of this other article.
Even more useless is traffic from India that does not even enter the 10 most profitable countries, although it is the third largest source by number of user sessions and hence ad impressions. RevenueHits, In addition to the screen of the first 10 countries in the dashboard, you can download the full report in csv format.
By downloading and searching for data related to India, I found the following: INDIA
Impressions: 660
Click: 15
CTR: 2,273%
eCPM: $ 0.05
Revenue: $ 0.03
Basically, India produced about half of the visits and impressions coming from the US, but only generated 3 cents compared to more than $ 7 of the latter.
Bottom line: if you have an Italian blog or your site generally attracts traffic from visitors from Italy, with RevenueHits you will not be able to earn almost anything and it would be better to evaluate other advertising channels. However, if your website or blog is in English and primarily attract visitors from the United States, then with RevenueHits, you can get interesting results.
