RevenueHits and SelfAdvertiser: What are we hitting here? How difficult?

RevenueHits is owned and operated by a company called MyAdWise Ltd. It is a start-up from Israel, founded in 2008. They are CPA (with a cost-per-view option available) based and present themselves as being publisher-focused. To be honest, it's hard to find an objective view of your online business; Many "user reviews" are poorly advertised ads. Unfortunately, that's what the advertising companies do ... A little subtlety goes a long way.

RevenueHits focuses on publishers, that's true. But do not worry, dear advertisers, they have a website dedicated to you, called SelfAdvertiser. Its goal is to enable you to buy high quality traffic simply. How sure are the high quality traffic? That's the beauty of the CPA advertising model, you only pay for conversions.

You may hear some bad comments about the early publishers about CPA ad networks. Being under the impression that they get revenue for any and all traffic, they think they are fooled by their earnings ... While the truth is true, even a million impressions will not give you a penny if there are no conversions.

What formats are there to choose from?

RevenueHits offers fairly standard ad formats: banners (available in all common dimensions), pop-ups (and unders), and interstitials.

That said, RevenueHits ads appear in many other places, such as toolbars and search engines. Although the display ad format is completely satisfactory, it's good to know that they try to push the envelope a bit and come up with different ideas.

As for the orientation, you can choose the geographical location where your ads will be displayed, time of day, website profile; In other words, all the standard modern profiles we know and love are available here. In addition, different verticals are available (games, technology, hobbies, etc.)

How much do I need to cough?

The minimum bid on the CPV option (which uses pop-under ads) is $ 0.0001 per view. In the Pay per click model, the minimum bid is US $ 0.01 per click.

Your FAQs say that some publishers have a $ 30 eCPM ratio. With this, evidently, on the far right side of the probability curve, the average eCPM rates are lower; However, it is not important for the advertiser in this template. We only pay for effective clicks, not impressions. The only thing the eCPM ratio means to the advertiser is the quality of traffic provided by the publisher.

As far as campaign funding is concerned, you can launch a huge campaign with an impressive budget or use fifty dollars for a month. The freedom and ease of buying traffic on SelfAdvertiser is definitely a big plus.

Where does this traffic come from?

Mostly from USA, but RevenueHits accepts advertisers from all over the world. That means, of course, that SelfAdvertiser uses traffic all over the world.

The quality of the traffic is excellent, thanks to the use of the CPA model. You only pay for users who have completed a specific action (such as clicking on your ad), so you can be sure that you are getting the most success for your money.

When a publisher first starts working with RevenueHits, they use different ads to analyze which ones are the most effective on the site. This keeps publishers and advertisers happy, maximizing clicks and revenue.

Mobile

SelfAdvertiser supports mobile systems. On the advertiser panel, you choose which systems to use, including Android and iOS. You can even specifically use only mobile devices for your campaign, which in itself is an interesting profile method; Very useful when we are trying to advertise our mobile application, for example.

Support, support

The SelfAdvertiser support (as well as the RevenueHits') is fine. They respond to emails and are active on the web comminuty advertising. They are also available on Skype (Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. GMT), which is very convenient if we have a quick question to ask.

Both campaigns and sites are approved quickly and with little hassles. However, they do not accept sites and ads with adult content.

The user interface is simple and effective. Creating a campaign is perhaps one of the simplest I have ever seen: if you have your mind set on what you want and what your budget literally takes just a minute.

Initial registration and deposit

Registration and filing are definitely one of the strongest SelfAdvertiser assemblies. Registration is complete in a few minutes; Once you've provided some basic information about you, your business, and your payment details, you can launch a campaign, anyway.

As for the deposit, there are none. You simply choose your campaign's daily budget (which can be as low as $ 5), and once you give the details of your campaign, submit it for approval.

Regarding the methods of payment, the Wire PayPal and Payoneer are acceptable.

All right. So what are we thinking?

I do not know about you, but personally I think both sides of the company - RevenueHits and SelfAdvertiser - are a viable option for publishing and advertising. The CPA model is fair to both sides of the bargain, although small and medium-sized publishers may experience some floating revenue, not as stable as a CPM-based company.

SelfAdvertiser emphasizes that the advertiser's convenience and ease of use are important to them, and this really shows. Setting up campaigns is quick and easy, and if you have any questions, user support will be available.

If you are an editor with a small website, maybe you should try something other than cost per action. If you're an advertiser looking to get traffic easily, I think SelfAdvertiser is a good choice.

RevenueHits: this is what I REALLY gain in the first month

I am one of the millions of people around the world who have a ban on  Google Adsense  for many years because of a music site I created where many friends clicked thinking of doing me a favor. Recently I read several articles on the RevenueHits platform  which seems universally considered "the best alternative to Google Adsense." All of these articles are looking to make a lot of money with this advertising platform and they all describe a $ 30 eCPM as fairly easy to reach, but they just describe how it works, the type of placement, and so on. In fact, I have not found anyone who illustrates actual earnings data compared to page views / impressions. Many posts had comments from people who asked for information about CTR or eCPM expected or the number of visits needed to get approximately X money and the answers were always the same: "it depends on your niche", "you should improve your traffic" therefore, in. Okay, that's true, but people just want real numbers!
So I decided to try this platform here on my blog and I'll show you the results I received in August. The blog marked about 7530 page views (average 250 hours), 6440 unique (210 daily) in August and I put only two banners on the single post page because I did not want to make the articles illegible. So for this first experiment, I used the good old track format and did not include other formats like footer, popunder or shadow box. I placed an "average rectangle 300X250" at the beginning of the article with a left alignment and a "728X90 rating table" at the end of the article.
Most of the articles are technical postings or tutorials on software development so this can be considered your category, even though there are other posts on different topics like music, books, travel .. The results of my first month using RevenueHits are as follows:
Impressions: 9643 Hits
: 44
CTR: 0.456%
eCPM: $ 0.43
Recipe: $ 4.19

Then in August 2015 I won with RevenueHits $ 4.19 of 9643 impressions and 7530 page views.

RevenueHits platform ads are  contextual and georeferenced, so users in a specific country see ads related to your area. Likewise, clicks from different countries can generate very different revenues. Looking at the detail of earnings grouped by country, we can see that the United States generated $ 3.6 from 3233 impressions, while Italy and India with 1/3 impressions generated only a few cents.

In fact, RevenueHits is a performance-based network with a cost-per-action CPA strategy   . This means that users generate revenue not for the click itself, but if they take an action like entering their email, downloading a file and so on. This is the reason why, for example, the UK generates 6 cents without any click. Anyway, in the admin panel, the only information available is the number of impressions and the number of clicks, so we still have to base our analyzes on those parameters.
Finally,  what I really do not like about  this first experiment with RevenueHits  is the quality of the ads that appear on my blog. As I said before, ads are geo-targeted and basically loading my pages with my Italian-based IP, I get only this kind of stupid banner like "you need to update this plugin to see the video" and others "download this …" stuff. So the typical banner that everyone hates and would never click. And also the kind of flag I do not want to propose to my readers! This is probably due to the fact that the network in Italy is not yet developed and there is no "serious" advertiser putting money into it.

Anyway, I'm going to do some additional testing in September, trying out other types of channels like "shadow box." So I'll discuss the results again.
